William Shakespeare Assembly
Students of Class V-B presented a special morning assembly dedicated to the legendary playwright William Shakespeare on 25 April 2025, in honour of his literary contributions and to celebrate his remarkable life and work on the occasion of his birth anniversary, observed on 23 April.
The assembly began with a brief introduction about Shakespeare’s life, and his famous works include plays like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Students performed a delightful role play titled “A Visit to Shakespeare’s World”, where characters such as Shakespeare himself, Queen Elizabeth, Romeo, Juliet and Hamlet were brought to life on stage. The scene was informative and entertaining, helping students to connect with Shakespeare’s timeless characters and stories, followed by a special performance of the famous balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet was also presented.
The assembly also highlighted some of his famous quotes, followed by a quiz.
Overall, it was a fun and educational experience that helped students appreciate the beauty of literature and the enduring legacy of William Shakespeare.
