Reading with Fun
To cultivate a love for reading and make learning a delightful experience, DPS Tapi conducted a “Reading with Fun” activity for students of Classes III to V on 25 April 2025. The initiative aimed to promote literacy through engaging and interactive methods, inspiring students to joyfully immerse themselves in the world of books. The day featured a range of enjoyable, reading-based activities that captured the curiosity and enthusiasm of young learners.
Class III participated in Story Reading and Storytelling Sessions, while Class IV students took part in a Poem Parade—singing poems in chorus with expressive emotions guided by the teacher—and a sequencing activity to arrange story events. Class V engaged in Read-Aloud Circles, where they read aloud poems, fiction, non-fiction, textbook passages, and articles from newspapers and magazines.
The event was a resounding success, not only strengthening reading habits but also sparking creativity and imagination among students. Additionally, the collaborative nature of the activities helped enhance teamwork and social skills. The “Reading with Fun” programme truly demonstrated that learning can be both educational and enjoyable.
